On the opposite wall to my current position is something I mistook, at first glance, for a window… but closer inspection reveals that it’s merely a poster depicting a window, and the view beyond. A button in the crude shape of a fish, on a little panel protruding out from the wall. The next wall going round has a few of those framed pictures of fish swimming in the sea hung across it, and between them in the wall’s middle is what looks like a hard plastic button. The door is to the mirror’s left, and like the others, is closed. The wall behind me is bare, except for a mirror in the rough centre. An attempt to focus and to properly assess my surroundings. Resisting the rising, cold urge to panic I instead consider each of the individual walls. …Where the hell am I? Am I seeing things? I close my eyes and rub my hands across my face. They appear to depict oceanic scenes… from the bottom of the sea… and many feature colorful coral reefs. #Red button escape room coral springs series#They are adorned with a series of grainy, framed photographs. Two exits… Why two? Is one of them a fake, perhaps? One of them says: ‘exit’.Īnd the other says: ‘EXIT’. The other two have words scrawled across them in white paint. And I say ‘near-identical’, as only two of these doors are blank. Its four walls are all that same faint, peeling blue-teal, and each of them has a near-identical door built into it. I rub my head and groggily sit up in bed. Besides my breathing, it is the room’s only sound. No lampshades, just two bulbs, side by side and jutting out from the plaster. Cool tech but also some locks: a very good mix.I awaken in a room with blue-teal, peeling walls.ĭirectly above my head and attached to the ceiling are two electrical bulbs. There were little bits that happened throughout the game that made it feel like you were actually on a real mission. The puzzles all make sense and actually tie into the storyline of the game. "I’ve done + rooms and this was one of the best! The set design was phenomenal- like you’re in a movie. If you're trying to choose which escape room place to try out - I encourage you to try Nexus. Highly recommend! The location is easy to locate, and there is plenty of parking available. The room we decided to take on was the 'Escape your Nightmares'. The staff was not only knowledgeable, but friendly and welcoming. "Our group surprised my sister for her birthday at Nexus. "We had a wonderful time at Nexus Escape Room! Not only were the rooms so much fun and challenging, the couple who owns Nexus Escape room are so accommodating and friendly!! We planned a group event here and would recommend it for any and everyone! Cryptic cay was the room we had and I had such an exciting time playing!" Getting a future credit was so easy that I didn't even have to call them when booking 7 months later because there wasn't an expiration! Then 1 person from our group couldn't make it and we just assumed we would eat that money since but without even asking we were told that we'd be getting a future credit for the 1 person who couldn't attend! We will be back here specifically because of the amazing customer service. We originally booked for Father's Day but our grandfather died that day so we had to cancel. The best part of this whole experience is how accommodating the owners are about rescheduling and credits. The clues are aren't too hard but aren't too easy either, we only got stuck a couple times and were able to make it out with minutes to spare! The first room actually had sand completely covering the floor for an authentic feel. My family and I did the cryptic cay room that is set up to be a deserted island crash landing sort of scenario. "What a fantastic experience, the reviews are % true. Can't wait to recommend my friends and would love to come back again!" Not to mention there were actually some pretty solid and clever scares! The owner is extremely passionate about what he does and very much puts all of his heart and creativity into his rooms. The puzzles made sense, and were challenging but nothing too extreme. "I went here for my birthday and had an amazing time! We did the Escape Your Nightmares room and it was probably the most interactive Escape Room I've ever done.
